How a visit to the workshops of San Patrignano became a lasting creative partnership.

Through a shared respect for the art of making, Paolo Moschino and the San Patrignano artisans turn a deep appreciation for timeless design into elegant wallpapers for world-class interiors.

The London studio’s instinct for detail and considered approach to interiors find new expression through the workshops’ specialist techniques and meticulous hand-finishing.

From Mongiardino Boiserie to Park Avenue, each collection is shaped by an ongoing exchange of ideas, skills and perspectives.

Two distinct worlds.
A shared point of view.

From Coriano to London, a shared eye for design brings two distinct worlds together. Paolo Moschino’s distinct visual language meets the craft of San Patrignano’s Italian workshops in wallpapers and borders shaped by a unique meeting of creative vision and artisanal expertise.

The Design Studio Belgravia · London

Led by Paolo Moschino and Philip Vergeylen, the London-based design studio creates interiors and collections with character, wit and decorative depth. Its knowledge of rooms informs the collaboration: the scale of a pattern, the balance of colour and the way a surface catches the light.

A visit became
a collaboration.

When Paolo and Philip visited San Patrignano’s workshops, the craftsmanship and the community’s story stayed with them.

Originally from Italy, Paolo felt a personal connection to their work. The designers saw a way to support the community through their interior design business.

The first collection, Mongiardino Boiserie, launched in autumn 2019. Inspired by Renzo Mongiardino’s decorative legacy. The wallpapers and complementary borders gave the partnership its first expression.

Park Avenue was unveiled at FOCUS/26 in London, building on the collaboration’s evolving relationship between decorative vision and artisanal expertise.

The craftsmanship was extraordinary. We’d never been anywhere like it. We’ve worked with them ever since.”

Two collections,
one shared vision.

Two distinct collections, bound by the subtle beauty of the handmade. Every wallpaper and border tells its own story, shaped by tactile qualities and the nuances of its finish.

Inspired by
Original artwork

Mongiardino’s architectural mastery informs Boiserie; New York’s decorative interiors inspire Park Avenue. Each collection begins with a heritage narrative, translating historical motifs, architectural forms, and classic decorative traditions into new creative concepts.

Pattern
on paper

For designs such as Paglia, original artworks are hand-drawn or painted before being digitally rendered and hand-finished. Each pattern’s production method is individually chosen to preserve the fine nuances, brushstrokes, and integrity of the original artwork.

Finishing
by hand

San Patrignano artisans bring each surface to life through time-honoured decorative techniques. By layering textures, glazes, and bespoke surface treatments, they infuse every wallpaper and border with an authentically tactile, handcrafted soul.

A lasting
impression

Pattern, pigments, and hand-applied texture come together in the final sample. Discover the depth and dedicated craftsmanship embedded in every detail.

CraftsmanshipIn motion

Inside the workshops of San Patrignano, each design emerges through the quiet art of patience and precision. See the artistry unfold, from the layering of colour to the refinement of each detail.

A shared craft.
A sense of place.

From the workshops of Coriano to interiors in London and Milan, the collaboration finds its expression in the spaces it inhabits.
