The Brown's Hotel
A Timeless Masterpiece: Brown’s Hotel Unveils Two Magnificent New Suites by Paolo Moschino and Philip Vergeylen
Brown’s Hotel unveils two new suites envisioned by Paolo Moschino Ltd, an elegant reinterpretation of Sir John Soane’s neoclassical world for today’s most discerning travellers. The design revives the graceful proportions, symmetry and material richness of Georgian London, layered with contemporary comfort through plush textiles, bespoke furniture and exquisite detailing.
Each suite is an intimate sanctuary of craftsmanship, featuring handcrafted timber panelling and bespoke ironmongery, hidden doors inspired by Soane’s playful approach to space, curated antiquities sourced across Britain, and beautifully layered wallcoverings including bespoke hand-printed wallpaper by San Patrignano and fabric wallpapers by Paolo Moschino. Commissioned artworks framed in bold red borders add a striking editorial contrast throughout.
One suite is a verdant Mayfair retreat, built around a custom green derived from Farrow & Ball’s Calke Green. The second suite, accessed by a dramatic double staircase, centres on a contemporary Italian marble fireplace and an Emperador marble bathroom with a rare oversized porthole window framing London’s skyline.
As one of Brown’s most significant design projects in recent years, these suites mark a refined new chapter for London’s oldest luxury hotel, defined by discretion, heritage, and modern grandeur. Photography by: Studio Perry Graham Ltd
