At their West Sussex farmhouse, Paolo Moschino and Philip Vergeylen transformed two-and-a-half acres into a garden that unfolds like a house in the landscape. Drawing from interior design principles, Philip created a series of “outdoor rooms”—structured, distinct spaces that offer different moods and uses, all linked by paths, greenery, artful planting, and subtle water features. Evergreens, topiary, Italian urns, and sculptural box hedges frame the views, while containers, flowering climbers, and seasonal blooms add charm and softness. The result is a garden that’s beautiful from every window—designed to be seen, felt, and enjoyed all year round.
